Wandering through a traditional open French market is one of my favorite things to do when I go there. Most cities and villages have their "market days" twice a week. You can find anything from fruit, vegetables, charcuterie, cheese, olives, and even shoes and clothes! "Le march
e" is an integral part of life in virtually all French towns and large villages.
